R.M.Williams has unveiled the official ceremonial uniforms for the Australian Paralympic Team ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games. Launched at a special ceremony at Admiralty House in Sydney on 16 October, the uniforms draw on iconic R.M.Williams designs and celebrate Australian culture and spirit.
The partnership marks the ninth consecutive Paralympic Games that R.M.Williams has supplied uniforms, continuing a legacy of outfitting Australian Paralympic Teams at every Summer and Winter Games since Vancouver 2010.
“We’re proud to stand alongside Paralympics Australia once again, supporting our athletes whose grit, determination and spirit reflect the heart of our nation. Outfitting a team built on courage and commitment is a privilege we hold close and we’re honoured to ensure they feel both confident and connected to home as they compete for their country.” – Paul Grosmann, R.M.Williams Chief Executive Officer.
The uniforms were crafted in close collaboration with the Paralympic team, prioritising comfort and accessibility with adaptive features like magnetic fastenings, non-zip pockets and zip modifications to ensure they are easy to wear for all athletes.
Australian fibres and natural materials are heroed throughout, showcasing the best of local craft and sustainability with oiled nubuck and double butt leathers, soft lambswool, merino and classic cotton jerseys.
The designs include formal looks for both male and female athletes plus a limited-edition Gardener Boot with a lace-up front, side-zip entry for accessibility, water-repellent finish, and treaded sole for winter conditions. Accessories highlight Australian materials and craft including the Paralympics Kit Scarf (100% merino, knitted in Melbourne), the Drover Belt and the Akubra Traveller hat.
The uniform linings once again feature ‘The Journey’ by Indigenous artist Rheanna Lotter, a proud Yuin woman and founder of the aboriginal art collective Ngandabaa. The artwork has featured in every Paralympic uniform since its introduction in 2016 and features eight circles to represent the Australian states and territories, tracks to represent the connection between the Paralympians and boomerangs to represent challenges overcome in the journey to the Games.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games will run from 6 March to 15 March 2026.
