The day was a great opportunity to connect with local footy fans from across the region and from the moment the gates opened, Squadron was in full force with a range of engaging activities:
Fans enjoyed testing their passing skills at our inflatable rugby pass cage for a chance to win some great giveaways.
Five teams representing local community clubs competed in on-field challenges, with the winning team taking home a signed Dragon’s jersey.
Throughout the game, the Squadron Energy sound meter encouraged the crowd to “power up the Dragon’s.”
With excited supporters in the crowd using our recyclable noise clappers – the atmosphere was electric and truly showcased the power of community spirit.
Squadron Energy was also proud to partner with the Starlight Children’s Foundation to provide a special experience for young footy fan Chase.
Chase and his family enjoyed the game from the Legend’s Club as well as meeting the players in the sheds after the game. Chase’s mum Kelly said the experience was unforgettable:
“Thank you so much, he had the best time and even got a signed jersey. Wow! Constantly putting a huge smile on my kid’s face, we really appreciate it!”
Despite the final scores, the atmosphere was electric with fans cheering the Red V!
The men’s team is racing towards the semis and the women are kicking off what will surely be a killer season, we’re behind them all the way – let’s go Red V!
Squadron Energy is a proud partner of the St George Illawarra Dragons and core to this partnership is community.
Squadron Energy joined forces with the St George Illawarra Dragons as a partner in the ‘under number’ position and from 2025 Squadron Energy will become the Major Partner of the Dragons’ NRL and NRLW teams.
Squadron Energy is leading Australia’s transition to clean, renewable energy, with a strong focus on the Illawarra playing a key role in delivering firmed renewable energy.
Beyond the Illawarra, Squadron Energy’s footprint is expansive and extends along the eastern states, which is not dissimilar to the wide appeal and membership footprint of the Dragons.
